Web Services technologies provide a new way to leverage the investment organizations have made in existing applications and databases and provide a foundation for an enterprise Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

The software enables external Server and Browser access to the mainframe business logic and data stored in DMSII databases through a “technology independent” interface. MGS Web Services also enable MCP applications to call web services available from other non-MCP and MCP servers. They are implemented using a standards based (SOAP and XML) message exchange allowing abstraction and export of the enterprise business processes and access to the business data.

ClearPath MCP applications and databases can now fully participate in the enterprise-wide environment and can inter-operate with their counterparts on other platforms, using industry standards, whether in-house (intranet) or external (internet).
